Phrae is an old and important community of Northern Thailand, Phrae was founded after Chiang Mai had been established as the capital of the Lanna Thai kingdom. With one of the largest reserves of teak forests in the country.

Several companies serve Bangkok while as usual Bus999 is your best travel from Bangkok to Phrae. Bus999 has Bangkok buses departing daily at 06:30 PM until 08:00 PM. 1st class tickets cost THB529. Porn Piriya Tour and Budsarakam Tour also have a 09:00 AM, THB468 bus though their VIP32 one at 08:30 PM is priced at ฿ 546.

HOW TO GET HERE
Phrae Bus Station is located to the north east of the part of Phrae town where most of the tourist attractions are located. There are motorbike taxis and regular Songthaews heading from town to the Bus Terminal.
AMENITIES
There isn’t much in the way of facilities at Phrae Bus Terminal. However, there are plenty of shops and restaurants a short walk away from the bus station in Phrae town.
Facilities at Phrae Bus Station include:
- Left luggage office: The office marked ‘Information’ will keep your luggage for fee of 10 THB.
- Toilets: Located at the other end of the waiting area from the main entrance.
- Shops: There is one shop selling snacks and drinks at the far end of the station by the toilets.
The ticket offices at Phrae Bus Terminal are located inside the station by the main entrance.There are many many ticket counters for different companies.
